Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Louisiana Department of Education certification with special education endorsement—candidates must be fully licensed to be considered.
- Not accepting temporary or alternative certification; candidates must be certified and readily available to start.
- Previous experience in a classroom or school-based special education setting is highly desirable.
- Committed to completing required district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
- Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and promote student growth.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records as required by district and state guidelines.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes.
