Special Education Teacher | Joliet, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 certification required
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Background supporting students with significant needs is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, modification, and accommodation tailored to students’ unique needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records
- Foster a supportive classroom climate focused on academic and behavioral growth
- Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, specialists, and families to build student success
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours per week) across the entire academic year, beginning August 13, 2026, and ending May 31, 2027.
