Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working with students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5 preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for individualized instruction
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse abilities in PK-5
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators
- Track student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic and social growth
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Engage families in the educational process and provide regular updates on student progress
