Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid State Certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience teaching or supporting PK-5 students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for various learning needs
- Creative, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving in the classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to PK-5 students with a variety of learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate effectively with general education staff, specialists, and families
- Maintain all required special education documentation and compliance standards
- Support students’ social and emotional growth within the classroom environment
- Participate in professional development and regular team meetings
