Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education Teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working in elementary schools preferred
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with paraprofessionals and support staff
- Positive approach to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the class
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to ensure every student receives appropriate support
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary
- Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed and involved
- Maintain a safe, caring, and structured classroom community
