This rewarding contract opportunity is a full-time position, offering a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You’ll support students with autism, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, and other significant learning needs, primarily in a virtual environment with occasional in-person time at a modern Orange County learning center.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Education Specialist credential, authorizing service for Extensive Support Needs (ESN) populations
- Proven experience or strong interest working with students with profound learning and developmental needs
- Skilled in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiating instruction
- Proficient with technology and comfortable delivering instruction in a virtual classroom
- Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and adaptability
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, individualized lessons for ESN students, fostering growth in academic, communication, and life skills
- Create and adapt resources and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and IEP documentation
- Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, and support staff to promote student success
- Deliver instruction primarily online, with periodic in-person work required at the Orange County center
