What You’ll Bring:
- Active California credential in either Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Special Education (required)
- Classroom experience with elementary-aged students and students with moderate/severe needs preferred
- Positive, flexible approach and excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with paraprofessionals and other support staff on individual student plans
- Commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive class community
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Role Highlights:
- Provide individualized and group instruction, using evidence-based strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, tracking student progress and participating in meetings
- Supervise and collaborate with instructional assistants and paraprofessionals
- Engage in communication with parents, guardians, and related service providers
- Adapt curriculum and modify instructional materials to optimize student participation
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom climate that encourages student independence
