- Kindergarten–1st grade: Serve a caseload of 5-6 students with significant needs in a supportive, self-contained classroom.
- Montessori elementary setting: Support K–6th grade students in self-contained instruction, fostering both academic and social skill growth.
- Upper elementary (4th–6th grade): Lead a self-contained group, focusing on individualized strategies for student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings.
- Familiarity with ABA methodologies and supporting students with significant behavioral needs is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability and creativity in delivering tailored instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload.
- Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and families to deliver optimal support.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and provide regular updates to the team.
- Use evidence-based strategies to address academic, behavioral, and functional goals.
Enjoy a W2 hourly contract with a competitive rate between $36 and $41 per hour, and access to comprehensive healthcare benefits. Your day will run roughly from 7:40am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, allowing you work-life balance in a consistent weekly schedule.
