Your caseload will be thoughtfully divided between morning and afternoon sessions with a mix of students identified throughout the school year. Bring your compassion, expertise, and collaborative spirit to a team dedicated to best practices in early childhood special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to preschoolers across two daily sessions
- Partner with Child Find to develop and implement high-quality IEPs for newly identified students
- Create, maintain, and monitor compliant IEPs that reflect individual student needs
- Participate in assessments, conduct progress monitoring, and keep accurate data records
- Attend IEP meetings, contribute to team planning, and actively participate in staff meetings
- Engage in professional development and collaborative planning on dedicated Wednesdays (no student contact)
- Communicate regularly with families and related service providers to support each child’s growth
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and special education best practices
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
