What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience or coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorder education and intervention
- Passion for teaching students in grades 6, 7, and 8
- Skills in managing a self-contained classroom environment
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom culture
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to the strengths and needs of middle school students with autism
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior supports
- Monitor and document student progress, and adjust plans as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive space where every student feels understood and supported
- Collaborate regularly with other educators, school staff, and families to support holistic student development
- Assist with IEP development and participate in meetings as required
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
