Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, MN

Qualifications & Licensure:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in one or more of the following:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Developmental Disabilities
- Early Childhood
- Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS optional, not required)
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans
- Familiarity with classroom routines, strong instructional skills, and behavior management strategies
- Effective collaboration skills with both special education and general education staff, as well as paraprofessionals
- Excellent attendance record and reliability
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions to students, including those with cross-categorical needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Apply evidence-based strategies for supporting students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional challenges
- Establish structured classroom environments and positive behavior supports
- Collaborate in scheduling and guiding paraprofessional support
- Maintain open communication with families and staff to ensure student growth and well-being
