Special Education Teacher in Saint Paul, MN

What You’ll Bring:
- Current Minnesota teaching credential in one or more Special Education disciplines (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist)
- Strong foundation in behavior intervention strategies and proactive problem-solving
- In-depth knowledge of behavior plans, classroom structure, and routines
- Proven instructional expertise and the flexibility to meet diverse student needs
- Consistent, reliable attendance and commitment to professional excellence
- Collaborative spirit with experience partnering with general education teachers, special education teams, and paraprofessionals
- Skilled in scheduling, planning, and coordinating support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to individual student needs across resource and center-based settings
- Implement, monitor, and adjust behavior plans and classroom routines to encourage student success
- Cooperate with colleagues in both special education and general education environments, fostering a strong support network
- Guide and collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure students receive comprehensive care
- Maintain detailed, accurate records and communication with families and staff
- Help cultivate a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere
