Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in at least one of the following:
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS not required, but accepted)
- Demonstrated skill managing and supporting students with emotional or behavioral needs, ideally within a cross-categorical model
- Knowledge of effective behavior plans, classroom structures, and established routines
- Strong instructional ability and adaptability to different age groups and settings
- Experience collaborating with other special education and general education professionals, including scheduling and teamwork with paraprofessionals
- Excellent attendance and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support services to students across multiple settings and grade levels
- Implement behavior plans and contribute to a positive, structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with educational teams and paraprofessionals to support individualized student needs
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
