Special Education Teacher - Minturn, CO

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (early childhood/PreK emphasis preferred)
- Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged children in a special education setting
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Effective communication skills with parents, colleagues, and support staff
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to work at different sites within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to early childhood/preK special education students (caseload of 10-20)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrative staff to create and adapt lesson plans
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate student records
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and caring classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input on student growth
This contract role begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, offering a steady weekday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
