For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, enthusiastic educators are invited to apply for contract positions spanning elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as alternative programming for students with severe behaviors. Classrooms will focus on life skills, autism, or behavior support, and applicants must hold active Kansas licensure appropriate to their teaching assignment prior to consideration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current Kansas Special Education teaching license (must be in hand before being sent to client)
- Experience working with students with autism, behavioral challenges, and/or significant life skills needs
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Strong communication skills for parent and team collaboration
- Flexible, compassionate, and resourceful approach to teaching diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) supporting student success
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a wide range of student abilities
- Foster a positive, proactive classroom environment focused on social/behavioral growth and academic achievement
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Engage in regular team meetings and support ongoing professional development
- Partner with families to support student goals and growth
