Special Education Teacher in Osseo, MN
Make a significant impact supporting elementary students with unique learning profiles in a dynamic special education environment. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve in a specialized “Ready, Set, Launch” program, designed to provide tailored instruction for students with autism and developmental needs. This assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 10, 2027, working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week. The role centers on delivering exceptional educational experiences at an elementary site renowned for its collaborative and supportive team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience supporting students with autism and/or developmental cognitive disabilities is highly valued
- Ability to adapt lesson plans and modify curriculum for individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to student needs and program guidelines
- Provide direct instruction and interventions in a classroom setting focused on students with diverse learning profiles
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including related service providers and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports as required
- Communicate with families and staff to ensure continuity of student support
