Position: Special Education Teacher, Life Skills Classroom
School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM
Position Details:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to support a K through 2nd grade Life Skills classroom. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction in a structured, supportive environment while helping students develop academic, communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students' unique needs
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Support students in developing functional life skills and independence
Requirements:
Active Special Education teaching license
Experience working with elementary students preferred
Experience in a Life Skills or self contained classroom preferred
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
This is a full time, onsite opportunity for the 2026–2027 school year serving students in a K through 2nd grade Life Skills classroom.
