Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education, or eligibility for certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience developing and executing IEPs for diverse learners.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow staff, administration, and parents.
- Previous experience in K-7 or 4-7 educational settings highly valued.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans in accordance with IEPs.
- Assess student progress and modify instructional methods as needed.
- Foster an inclusive classroom that encourages participation and engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and other educators.
- Maintain accurate records and actively participate in IEP meetings.
- Provide support, encouragement, and guidance to help each student reach their full potential.
