Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a current, active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education (no emergency or pending permits accepted)
- Demonstrated experience supporting elementary students with autism or middle school students with learning challenges
- Strong communication, collaboration, and intervention skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive classrooms and individualized education plans
- Ability to fulfill a full-time (35 hours/week) contract for the 2026-2027 academic year
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized learning strategies adapted to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive environment to promote academic and social growth
- Monitor, document, and report student progress, adjusting plans as needed for continued student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
Schedule Details:
- Position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027
- Elementary Autistic Support: 8:15am – 3:45pm
- Middle School Learning Support: 7:15am – 2:45pm
