Special Education Teacher | Phoenix, Arizona

With positions available at Tempe, Phoenix West, Dysart, and Peoria campuses, you can find the right fit for your skills and interests.
Working Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 3:15pm, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values structure, creativity, and compassion. Students you support may have autism, emotional or behavioral disabilities, developmental delays, intellectual, or learning disabilities. Openings are available to teach students in three distinct programs: foundational skills and behavior regulation for young learners, advanced academic and social skill building for older students, or hands-on transition and job-readiness training for those nearing graduation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification; moderate/severe endorsement especially valued for high school roles
- Experience working with students from elementary through high school/transition age
- Strong background supporting students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, learning or developmental disabilities
- Commitment to fostering independence, inclusion, and academic success
- Flexibility to work collaboratively across multiple locations as needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Interview availability between 9am and 4pm for immediate consideration
Typical Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized academic instruction, social skills interventions, and classroom routines
- Adapt curriculum and accommodate materials for diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with therapists, related service providers, and families
- Contribute to IEP development and implementation
- Implement positive behavior strategies and support emotional regulation
- Help prepare students for transitions to higher grade levels or independent living
