Teachers will work a consistent schedule, 40 hours per week, during school hours of 7:45am to 3:15pm. Multiple program needs are available, from foundational skills for elementary-aged children to transition and career-readiness support for high school and post-secondary students. Certification in Moderate/Severe Special Education is highly desired, particularly for the high school program in the Dysart area.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (Moderate/Severe endorsement is a notable asset)
- Experience working with students with autism, behavioral/emotional disabilities, developmental delays, or learning disabilities
- Strong ability to provide structured environments and individualized support
- Skill in fostering social, academic, and life skills across a range of abilities and ages
- Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to address students’ specific educational and behavioral needs
- Create high-structure classroom routines and behavioral supports
- Track progress in academics, social skills, and emotional regulation, adjusting interventions as needed
- Foster inclusive, supportive environments for students’ academic, social, and career growth
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and staff to ensure cohesive, individualized support plans
