Opportunities are available for compassionate, skilled Special Education Teachers across four locations, serving a range of age groups and disability categories. This contract position offers 40 hours per week, with the schedule set from 7:45am to 3:15pm, and is available for immediate start, extending through the 2026/27 school year.
This role provides you the chance to work within innovative programs tailored to specific student needs:
- Lower Rising Stars: Elementary-aged children (5–10) focusing on early academics, social skills, and classroom routines, predominantly working with autism, emotional/behavioral, developmental, and learning disabilities.
- Upper Rising Stars: Students aged 9–14, blending continued academics with social, emotional regulation, and growing independence, across similar disabilities.
- Jump Start: High school and transition-aged youth (14–22), emphasizing career readiness, life skills, and hands-on job training for diverse learning challenges including autism, intellectual, and emotional disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education; those with Moderate/Severe certification, especially for high school levels, are highly desirable.
- Experience supporting students with autism, emotional and behavioral needs, learning, and developmental disabilities.
- Strong skills in collaborative team teaching, behavioral management, and differentiated instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster supportive, structured learning environments
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and other educators
- Track and communicate student progress and participate in IEP meetings
