You’ll be working a full-time schedule—37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday—in a well-supported classroom staffed with one dedicated teacher and two skilled assistants. The current opening focuses on preschool-aged learners, serving a caseload of 18–20 students across two half-day classes, with students attending four days per week. Qualifications:
- Valid Mild/Moderate K–12 teaching license; Moderate/Severe credential also welcomed
- Experience or strong interest in special education, preferably with preschool or cross-categorical populations
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, assistants, and families
- Committed to fostering an equitable, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom assistants to create supportive, engaging learning experiences
- Adapt instruction for diverse abilities, encourage skill-building, and track progress
- Communicate regularly with families and specialists to promote student success
