You'll help foster a positive and inclusive environment for preschool or cross-categorical students, working closely with two dedicated teaching assistants per classroom. Class sizes are manageable, with preschool classes hosting 18–20 students split into two half-day groups, running four student-focused days each week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Mild/Moderate K–12 or Moderate/Severe teaching licensure in Special Education
- Experience with preschool and/or cross-categorical populations strongly preferred
- Ability to create engaging, adaptable lesson plans suited for diverse learners
- Collaborative spirit to coordinate with classroom assistants and related service providers
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to meet IEP goals for each student
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to student abilities and needs
- Supervise and collaborate with two classroom assistants to optimize learning environments
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
