This assignment runs through the end of the school year and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours per week) at one school location—details to be confirmed based on your preferences when possible.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Florida ESE certification
- K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
- Demonstrated experience leading a self-contained special education classroom
- Familiarity with a range of instructional and behavioral strategies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Clearance of Florida school district fingerprints; previous fingerprints through AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite the process
- Availability to complete an internal eligibility interview and prescreen virtual interview
Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained ESE classroom, addressing the academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with varied exceptionalities
- Differentiate instruction based on individualized education plans
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom atmosphere
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals
- Communicate regularly and effectively with school staff and families to support student success
This on-site role is not open for remote or VOCO assignments.
