What we’re seeking:
- Valid Kansas low incidence special education licensure or unified special education licensure required
- Previous experience with middle school students preferred, especially those with intensive needs
- Expertise in adapting curriculum and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills with general education teachers, paraeducators, and related service providers
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering targeted instruction to a caseload of 8 students across 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
- Developing and implementing IEPs based on student data and multidisciplinary input
- Utilizing evidence-based strategies and accommodations to address a diverse range of learning needs
- Monitoring student progress, collecting data, and making adjustments to instructional plans as needed
- Facilitating collaboration among IEP team members and maintaining regular communication with families
