In this position, you’ll oversee and supervise instructional teams, manage the development and implementation of IEPs, coordinate student schedules, and ensure compliance with MSDE requirements. You’ll be a resource for educators and an advocate for students, impacting learning outcomes across both lower and middle school grades.
Qualifications:
- Maryland Special Education Certification for K-12 required.
- Preference for those with MD Vice Principal or SPED Supervisor Certification.
- Experience supporting and supervising special education instructional teams.
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and MSDE compliance.
- Proven ability to build schedules and coordinate educational programs for grades K-8.
- Effective communicator, able to support and collaborate with staff, students, and families.
- Leadership experience in educational settings is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Lower/Middle School Directors to develop and supervise educational programs.
- Oversee IEP implementation and ensure programs meet state guidelines.
- Supervise instructional teams and provide professional guidance.
- Develop and manage student schedules.
- Serve as a primary support to students, staff, and families.
- Maintain compliance with MSDE requirements.
