Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience in school-based special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP process, IDEA, and pertinent federal/state legislation
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills
- Competency in training/mentoring school staff
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings onsite
- Support compliance with timelines and regulations for IEPs and evaluations
- Partner with special education teams, SATs, and administrators to develop effective interventions
- Provide training to staff on IEP requirements and special education processes
- Report trends and recommend improvements to leadership
- Support staff and ensure high standards for student success
- Additional duties as assigned
