Key Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Teaching Certificate with appropriate SPED endorsement
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Previous exposure to mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans for various learning levels and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specially designed support for elementary students (approximately 32 on caseload)
- Develop and implement IEP goals and track student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to foster student success
- Modify curriculum and classroom activities as needed for inclusion
- Create a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Employ evidence-based strategies to maximize student independence and growth
- Participate in assessment, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making
