Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Utah Special Education License/Certification is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in K-3 settings.
- Background in developing and managing life skills curriculum for students with varying abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to create individualized educational plans (IEPs) and implement them successfully in the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Life Skills classroom for students in kindergarten through grade 3.
- Develop and carry out instructional plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote the educational and personal growth of each child.
- Create a positive and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, specialists, and parents to support student goals.
- Conduct regular progress assessments and maintain detailed records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
You’ll be working on-site throughout the school year, from late July through the end of May, providing essential support to students and shaping their educational journeys.
