Qualifications & Skills:
- Active and valid Utah Special Education License/Certification required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably with life skills or similar programs
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adaptability in managing a dynamic classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and intervention to students in a Life Skills K-3 setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster inclusive learning
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to address social, emotional, and academic goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Engage regularly with families, offering updates and fostering productive partnerships
- Create a safe, supportive, and motivating classroom environment in person
