Applicants must hold a valid 461 TN special education license and demonstrate strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom. Qualifications:
- Current 461 TN special education license (required)
- Experience teaching or student teaching in special education, preferably with early elementary students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to design differentiated lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to K-2nd grade students in a self-contained special education classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs to promote student growth and achievement
- Create a safe, caring, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents and guardians
- Participate in school trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional development
