Key Qualifications & Background:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (moderate/severe or equivalent).
- Experience working with students with extensive support needs, at the middle or transition program levels.
- Committed to providing individualized instruction and behavioral supports.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Resilient, flexible, and enthusiastic about inclusive practices.
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct instruction to ESN students, adapting curriculum to diverse learning profiles.
- Design and implement IEPs, ensuring goals are met through data-driven approaches.
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and independence.
- Partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Communicate routinely with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for continued success.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning.
