Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and instruct a classroom of 4 elementary students with significant behavioral needs.
- Design and adapt lesson plans to address both academic and behavioral goals.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and behavior intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators to develop comprehensive plans for student success.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and provide updates to guardians and the educational team.
