Make a difference for elementary-aged students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, working within a close-knit foundational learning classroom. This contract opportunity, based near Austin, provides the chance to teach and empower a small group of five EC-6 students, two of whom require more functional assistance beyond typical life skills support. Position Details:
- Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year
- Consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 7:45 AM–3:30 PM
- Teach foundational and life skills curriculum to a small, focused group
- Attend and actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Texas Educator License with Special Education endorsement
- Prior experience handling ARD documentation and contributing to meetings
- Comfort supporting students with diverse needs, especially those needing functional and foundational learning support
- Professionalism in dress and presentation in line with district guidelines (no visible tattoos, single-color hair, professional attire, limited earrings)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative attitude
