Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Educator License in Special Education (Texas Department of Education)
- Skilled in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process; comfortable participating in and contributing to ARD meetings
- Previous experience designing and delivering instruction for students requiring both foundational and more functional supports
- Strong commitment to professional standards, including adherence to dress code (professional attire, natural hair color, minimal exposed tattoos and piercings)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored life skills and foundational learning curriculum to five EC-6 students, adjusting strategies for those requiring more functional assistance
- Create an inclusive and safe space where each child feels empowered to achieve their potential
- Prepare and participate actively in ARD meetings, communicating student progress and collaborating on IEP goals
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff to implement individualized plans
- Uphold school policies and model professional behavior to promote an equitable learning community
