This contract role is ideal for an adaptable Special Education Teacher excited to be part of something new and ready to grow alongside the program.
What You Bring:
- Valid certification in Special Education (required)
- Previous experience or coursework in Early Intervention is a plus
- Comfort working in collaborative settings, including individual and small group instruction
- Ability to adapt and grow as caseloads expand over time
- Compassionate, patient, and driven to make a positive impact on young children’s developmental journeys
Role Details and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons to toddlers and preschoolers
- Collaborate with teacher assistants (each child has 1:1 support) and related service providers to create individualized learning plans
- Facilitate both individual and group sessions, addressing a range of learning and developmental needs
- Observe and document student progress, contributing to meaningful education plans alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
- Gradually increase hours as more families enroll, with growth potential to transition from part-time to full-time (eventually up to 40 hours week)
- Commitment to a twelve-month instructional schedule, ensuring continuous support for learners
