This contract special education teaching opportunity offers several openings across elementary and secondary settings, serving students with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, and Early Childhood Special Education. Positions are full-time, on-site, and run from ASAP through June 11, 2026, with roles available in structured, resource, and homebound settings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience serving students with Autism, DCD, ASD/DCD, or in Early Childhood Special Ed preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for working across multidisciplinary teams and with families
- Adaptability and commitment to meeting varied student needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing targeted instruction and behavioral support to students on a caseload ranging from 4 to 19
- Managing classroom or itinerant schedules as assigned (caseload specifics and locations provided following application)
- Creating inclusive learning environments compliant with state and federal regulations
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining thorough documentation, and communicating effectively with parents and staff
- Consulting on and delivering homebound services as needed in various locations
- Participating in professional development and team meetings
