Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Minnesota teaching license required (proof of licensure to be submitted)
- Experience or strong interest in one or more areas: Autism, ECSE, DCD, homebound instruction, or general special education
- Demonstrated ability to work with children and adolescents in specialized settings
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Collaborative spirit to partner with families, educators, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students on assigned caseloads (ranging from 4-19 students)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collect data to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Support inclusion, social skills, and self-advocacy within the school environment
- Engage with families, attend team meetings, and contribute to a positive school culture
