Special Education Teacher - Eden Prairie, MN
Make a lasting impact in special education by supporting students across a variety of classroom settings. This contract position offers opportunities for experienced Special Education Teachers to work onsite with diverse student populations through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Current openings include roles specializing in Autism, Early Childhood Special Education, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, and homebound services. Assignments are located across several educational settings, from elementary to secondary campuses, with caseload sizes ranging from a small group of 4-6 students to larger groups of up to 19. Whether you thrive in a classroom, providing itinerant support, or offering individualized instruction for homebound students, there are opportunities to match your skills and passions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Early Childhood Special Ed, or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities preferred.
- Flexibility and strong organizational abilities to manage varying caseload sizes and settings.
- Proven collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to student needs.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support tailored to individual student education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case management records.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and trainings as needed.
- Provide differentiated instruction in multiple settings, including classroom and home environments.
This role offers the chance to guide student growth and make a difference in their educational journeys. Schedules are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with placements available immediately through June 2026.
