Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in special education or a related field.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders, developmental cognitive disabilities, or early childhood special education is highly valued.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Adaptable approach, comfortable supporting students in different settings (self-contained, itinerant, homebound, and inclusion).
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and inclusive educational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver customized instruction and interventions tailored to students’ individual education plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service staff, administrators, and families to ensure consistent support.
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere to promote student confidence and achievement.
