Special Education Teacher - Camp Hill, Pennsylvania

Shape young lives and make a meaningful difference as a Secondary Special Education Teacher supporting students with Autism. This full-time, contract position runs for the 2026-2027 school year, from August 17, 2026, to May 26, 2027. You’ll work onsite with a dedicated team, fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
The ideal candidate will bring experience, compassion, and specialized instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of middle and high school students on the autism spectrum.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
- Background in secondary-level teaching, preferably with Autism Support experience
- Understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Strong collaborator committed to working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in supporting diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support for students with autism in a secondary classroom
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Manage classroom routines and cultivate a safe, positive learning environment
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educators to deliver coordinated support
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust strategies to improve outcomes
- Build partnerships with families to promote student success
In addition to a rewarding hourly pay rate of $40–$45 (paid weekly), you’ll have access to comprehensive healthcare benefits and the stability of a full school-year contract.
