Special Education Teacher - Chicago, IL

What We’re Looking For:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (state-appropriate).
- Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in grades 2 through 5.
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Skill in adapting curriculum to meet a wide variety of learning needs.
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, positive classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for identified students.
- Provide differentiated instruction and direct interventions daily.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to support student learning.
- Regularly assess student progress and update goals as needed.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation per state and federal requirements.
- Engage positively with families to encourage student growth and achievement.
