Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary school students, particularly in grades 2-5
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Competency implementing academic and behavioral interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teamwork with staff and families
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and implement individualized education programs for a caseload of SPED students
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to student abilities and IEP goals
- Provide targeted interventions to support up to 10 students demonstrating academic challenges
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to maximize inclusion opportunities
- Track and report student progress, updating IEP documentation as needed
- Communicate effectively with families to foster student success
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
