Openings are available for the following specialized roles:
- 1 Behavioral Unit Specialist (BFLIC SPED): Work in a classroom setting with a maximum of 12 students, supported by a dedicated paraprofessional.
- 3 Multiple Disabilities Specialists (MDLIC SPED): Join inclusive classrooms each capped at 8 students, with two paraprofessionals in each room to ensure personalized support.
- 1 Cross-Categorical Specialist: Provide adaptable instruction and support across a range of student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for Ohio
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including behavioral and multiple disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, partnering effectively with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Flexibility and resourcefulness to ensure a nurturing, positive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create supportive and effective learning strategies
- Foster an inclusive, engaging learning space where every child feels valued and supported
- Maintain consistent communication with families, staff, and administrators to promote student growth
