Five full-time positions are available, offering a chance to work as part of a highly collaborative and supportive team.
Role Overview:
- Provide specialized instruction in one of the following settings: Behavioral Unit (BFLIC), Multiple Disabilities Classrooms (MDLIC), or a Cross-Categorical environment.
- Maintain classroom environments with conducive student-to-staff ratios: Behavioral Unit caseloads capped at 12 students (supported by a paraprofessional), MDLIC classrooms capped at 8 students (with two paras each).
- Deliver tailored educational plans, adapting instruction to each student’s individual needs and documented goals.
- Foster positive, inclusive learning spaces that encourage student progress and socio-emotional growth.
- Engage with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers as a valued member of the school’s multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with IEPs, data collection, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification required.
- Experience in behavioral or multiple disabilities settings strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
