Openings are available just east of Columbus, OH for motivated Special Education Teachers to join a passionate team for the remainder of the school year. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), contract position running ASAP through May 28th.
Openings include:
- 1 BFLIC SPED (Behavioral unit – capped at 12 students, plus a paraeducator in each class)
- 3 MDLIC SPED (Multiple Disabilities classrooms – capped at 8 students, each with two paraeducators)
- 1 Cross-Categorical SPED
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver effective instruction to students in small classroom settings
- Adapt lessons to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with classroom paras, counselors, and school staff
- Work closely with families and support teams to ensure student growth
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education licensure in Ohio, or the ability to obtain one
- Experience in behavioral, multiple disabilities, or cross-categorical settings is highly valued
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
