Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain compliance with state and district special education guidelines
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Adapt curriculum and classroom strategies to meet student needs
- Support positive classroom management and student engagement
Requirements
- Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License required
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification required or ability to obtain before start date
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
