Key Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher Certification—Mild Intervention or Moderate/Severe endorsement required
- Experience or enthusiasm for teaching in a middle school environment
- Ability to create a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom for students with emotional disabilities
- Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to working closely with paraprofessionals and other team members
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and behavioral support based on students’ IEPs
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
- Coordinate with paraprofessional staff to implement classroom strategies
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom climate for middle school learners
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
