Qualifications:
- Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License required
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- Background working with students with emotional/behavioral needs and/or autism
- Familiarity with at-risk, ethnically diverse, and English learner populations
- Experience creating and implementing IEPs and planning according to state, federal, and district guidelines
- E.E.E.I. training or willingness to participate in professional development
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in settings such as Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT (life skills/transition), and STRIVE (structured support classrooms)
- Develop lesson plans that align with individualized education goals
- Manage caseloads across various programs, adapting to learners’ unique strengths and challenges
- Foster prosocial and self-regulatory skills in all students
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and service providers to ensure holistic support
